Isabelle Goeminne is a Belgian fine art photographer and visual artist whose practice spans photography, abstraction and alternative processes such as cyanotype. Her work explores presence, absence and transformation, inviting a slower way of seeing.
Working predominantly in black and white, Goeminne creates images in which form gradually dissolves and meaning emerges through stillness, repetition and subtle shifts. Fragments of bodies, landscapes, natural elements and urban traces are transformed into visual narratives that exist between recognition and abstraction.
Her practice unfolds across three interconnected bodies of work.
Shape of Silence is an autonomous series in which fragments of the horse dissolve into quiet, landscape-like forms, reflecting strength, restraint and presence.
Stories of the Unseen brings together narrative projects that explore inner and lived landscapes, shaped by memory, time and vulnerability.
Transformation focuses on abstraction, where original sources disappear entirely and perception replaces recognition.
Alongside digital processes, Goeminne also works with analogue techniques such as cyanotype, extending her interest in materiality, time and transformation. Across all media, her work seeks beauty not in perfection, but in silence, resilience and what often remains unseen.
Goeminne took courses at photography schools and art academy. Her work has been selected for international exhibitions and publications, reflecting a unique view of life that focuses on beauty, simplicity and emotion.
